Unfortunately, we are all too familiar with Kylie Jenner and all of the other Kardashian/Jenner’s. Hate them or love them *mostly hate* they have infiltrated our universe and don’t seem to be going anywhere, anytime soon. While most kids for their 18th birthday are, well, celebrating the fact that they’re turning 18; Kylie partied in a much different fashion. Very Kardashian’esque shall we say. Here are 4 differences between Kylie and most newly turned 18 year old celebrations.
1. Kylie took these kind of birthday photos…
While I was taking this…
Not as sexy, but bowling is a fun way to celebrate I’d say.
2. ONE of Kylie’s Birthday Cakes…
My One Birthday Cake…
Her’s is damn near a wedding cake that can feed 150 people and mine is, well…a Carvel Ice Cream Cake that you might get 5 slices from.
3. Her Birthday Outfit… I’m Sorry, outfit(S)
Because wearing one outfit would be gross…
This was my ONE outfit…
Look at me thinking I was somebody in my clearance rack J.Crew dress… owwwwww!
4. The Car She got for a Birthday Present…
a $320,000 Ferrari, because every teenage girl needs one of these to speed down the highways with. *insert the most sarcastic face you could imagine*
The Car I was Allowed to Start Sharing with my Mom…
a 1999, used, LandRover Discovery.
Now here is the best part… I absolutely would NOT trade my birthday with that of Kylie Jenner’s. Do you see how happy I was in those photos? Without having a $320,000.00 car lavished upon me. Without having a wedding cake for 200+ guests presented to me. Without taking birthday pics that expose my body to the world?! I actually prefer my intimate bowling party with close friends and loved ones, being around people who aren’t fake and actually love me for me. I LOVE my Carvel ice cream cake, because after all that is my favorite *at 26, I still have one every year.* Know something else?… I hated it then, but I am so glad my parents had me share that car with my Mom. It taught me responsibility, something that these kids, Kylie included will never know about.
Money can bring you pretty things and trust me, one day I will have lots of it. I want to be blessed beyond my means so that I can give back and change the world. I’m no fool, I know it takes Money to do some of those things. In the meantime, I am perfectly content and blessed with the little things I have now. The little things are what mean most anyway. Excuse me while I sip on this tea…
