Naps. Just the word alone makes me so happy. There are few things in the world that bring me such joy then when my head is able to hit the pillow and I am able to catch up on some much needed zzz’s. Think about all the years we rejected naps as a child, doesn’t it make you feel just terrible?! Now, I am willing to bet you would do anything to incorporate them back into your daily lives. Like seriously, as adults, we should have them at work! It’s kids with all the energy anyway right?! They don’t want them, so we’ll gladly take them! Here are 10 amazing reasons why naps are life…

1.You’re not a morning person
If you’re like me and not quite up and at ’em in the AM, then naps are probably your thing. Or you wish they could be a thing in your daily lives. You my friend want a nap, because if you had one, you would be like the energizer bunny. You would easily look like girl A insteadddd of girl B *me*
2. The midday crash
Like most people, you probably crash by midday. Imagine how awesome it would be to take a nap?! Taking one would totally make you feel better and want to deal with the world again!

Awww, see! I knew I was doing something good for my bod! People who take a midday nappy-nap at least three times a week are 37% less likely to die of heart disease! Working men are 64% less likely! Yup,It’s true…according to a 2007 study published by Dimitrios Trichopoulos, of the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston said, “Taking a nap could turn out to be an important weapon in the fight against coronary mortality.”
4. Heightens sensory perception
According to Dr. Sandra C. Mednick, author of Take a Nap, Change Your Life, says napping can restore the sensitivity of sight, hearing, and taste. Napping also improves your creativity by relaxing your mind and allowing new associations to form in it. *I’m still stuck on the fact that there’s a book about how napping changes your life, hahaa*

Yup, a nap will make you feel that way. And what better feeling than being on top of the world!? Numerous medical studies have shown workers becoming increasingly unproductive as the day wears on. But a 2002 Harvard University study showed that a 30-minute nap boosted the performance of workers, returning their productivity to beginning-of-the-day levels. That’s some good stuff, I want to submit this to corporate! 😉
