Yes, yes ya’ll the streets are talking and the word is that Nickelodeon is going to be releasing an all 90’s network with all of our favorite tv shows! I’m so happy, I can barely contain my excitement!!!
If you’re a ’90s kid like myself, then there’s nothing that excites you quite as much as watching the nostalgia-producing Nickelodeon shows of your youth. Nickelodeon might launch an all 90’s network, which will basically be like a time machine for your television. So far, Nickelodeon hasn’t confirmed what “The Splat ” is, but there are two big rumors about what exactly it might be, and both will make your inner ’90s-kid practically pee on yourself.
The first rumor about “The Splat” is the one the entire internet is going crazy over, and that’s that it is a brand-new network filled with the best of ’90s Nickelodeon. While an entire channel dedicated to your favorite cartoons would be beyond amazing, “The Splat” may not be its own entity. A recent tweet suggests that “The Splat” would not be a new channel all its own, but would instead be a block of ’90s shows that will exist within an already-established network. While that rumor would mean we wouldn’t get ’90s shows 24/7, it’s still better than the ZERO 90’s shows on now!
Here are just some of the shows I BETTER see on this channel, if this is in fact truth…
1.Rugrats
This show taught us all about #SquadGoals, before it was even an actual thing.
2. Hey Arnold
Because there was literally nothing better than this little football-headed kid and the rest of the gang from P.S. 118
3.Real Monsters
This show actually made me un-afraid of the creepy crawlers that supposedly lie beneath my bed at night. I actually really wanted to be friends with these guys. Look at Nickelodeon, empowering us kiddies and stuff 😉
4. All That
The show that introduced us to hilarious sketch comedy before any of us even knew what Saturday Night Live was.
5. Rocket Power
I would get so hype just listening to the theme song. Didn’t this show make you want to grab the nearest surf board *or boogie board, more realistically* and head for the waves to kick it with this super cool gang?
6. CatDog
I’m sorry, but even at 26 years old, I still find myself wondering how this animal peed and pooped. Yup, I said it! Nonetheless, this show was awesome.
7. The Wild Thornberries
I was totally obsessed with the cynical, super sarcastic and total bad ass older sister. Hmmm, come to think of it, she’s a lot like me *I wonder if she had a part in molding me* Anyway, this show totally made me want to trade my parents in for world travelers and befriend a talking monkey…
Wow, just writing this post made me feel like a kiddie again. Well, here’s to crossing our fingers and hoping that Nickelodeon does pull through on this amazing idea and makes its way to tubes near you!
Happy Watching!!!
