I have this cool friend who suggested a really awesome topic for me to write about. He was all, “Hey, why don’t you write about how to include your girl during NFL season.” I was like, “OMG, what a great idea!!!” So now, here I am blogging about it. So guys, this blog post today is for YOU!!! There is nothing wrong with kicking it with the boys on Sundays, but remember that your girl would probably really love it if you asked to spend some Sundays with her too!
Some ladies, *like myself* like or love the good old pig skin sport…while other ladies can’t stand anything about it. Either way, there is more than likely a good chance that they have a man in their life who is dedicated to the game every. single. Sunday. Men, you have to make it warm and inviting and ladies, you have to give it a chance. After all, the more you can do together, the better for the relationship as a whole. Most women love going shopping or receiving pretty little gifts every now and again. Buy her some cute football gear and I promise you already have her half way to the living room couch!
2. Introduce her to the game and some of its players
Awwww, she just wants to know what is going on! I know guys, I know… the thought of teaching your girlfriend the ins and outs of football might sound harder than performing brain surgery, BUT do it only a few times and I bet she’ll pick it right up!
3. Encourage her to be a fan of your team
BINGO! What better way to enjoy a game than when you both love the same team and can cheer together?! Plus, if she doesn’t know much about football, then there is a good chance she’ll like your team anyway because she doesn’t know any better and she wants you to love her even more 😉
4. Ask her to make her most awesome dishes for the game
Ask being the keyword here guys! Nothing worse than a guy practically demanding food *DO IT YOURSELVES!* However, if you ask your girl to make something yummy for the both of you to partake in, it puts a different twist on it. This will accomplish two things, it will send the message to your girl that you love her cooking and it will also make her feel wanted! *we love that stuff*
5. Converse during the game
Ok, so I don’t mean have long drawn out conversations while watching the game *god forbid*. What I mean is, don’t text on your phone with your boys the whole day. Don’t just yell and scream at the t.v. Include your girl in your commentary of the game. “Babe, can you believe he fumbled that ball?!” “What the f?! Baby, did you see him throw that interception!!!” “AMAZING, TOUCHDOWN!” Even if we don’t know what the hell you’re talking about just yet, we’ll totally agree and get into it with you.
6. Take her to a real, live NFL game
You see how happy that woman is!? That will be your girlfriend when you take her to a game! There is nothing better than seeing a game in person! It has a whole different feel than just watching it on the tube. I mean, tell her not to totally embarrass you like that sparkling woman in the gif… but you get the point 😉
SIDE NOTE: this is not to say you have to spend every Sunday with your girl. We understand you want to enjoy it with the bros too.Â
