Adulthood as defined by Dictionary.com:
Adjective
1. having attained full size and strength; grown up; mature: an adult person, animal, or plant.
2. of, relating to, or befitting adults.
3. intended for adults; not suitable for children: adult entertainment.
Noun
4. a person who is fully grown or developed or of age.
5. a full-grown animal or plant.
6. a person who has attained the age of maturity as specified by law.
When I think if Adulthood however, I feel it’s more appropriately defined as:
There is almost nothing fun about being an adult. Which is so funny, because I remember being a little kid and being so excited to become one. It just seemed like the coolest thing ever. Not having anyone tell you what to do, being able to drive, living in your own house, even having a job seemed…dare I say it, cool to me! What the F was I thinking?! Now all I can think about is how I would do anything, and I mean ANYTHING to go back to my childhood.
Just think about your main responsibilities as an adult. You wake up, go to a job that you don’t really like or hate. You spend hours every day at said job, just so you can pay monthly bills, that seem to be daily rather than monthly, but OK. Now it’s finally time for you to leave work! You hop into your car that you pay for every damn month. You pay for the gas to drive that car. You pay for insurance on that same car. Then you pay to keep the car running. Now you’ve made it back home to your house or apartment, that you also pay for every month. Then all the costs associated with upkeep of said house or apartment. Are you depressed yet?! Geez la Weez already!
Well, I think I may have found some helpful hints on how to change you from this:
To this, in just 10 simple steps:
10 Ways to Make Being an Adult More Fun…
1.Host a regular game night with friends
Games are soon NOT just for kids. I just had a game night over my friends house last week and it was one of the most fun times I have ever had. We definitely plan on making this a regular routine.
2. Arrange nights out with work colleagues- bowling, playing pool or miniature golf, or singing karaoke
Personally, I am too chicken for karaoke…but you get the point.
3. Time at the beach or in a park with friends
While beach weather may technically be coming to an end, you can always still hang at the beach or park and do other things. Walk/run or just talk and kick it.
4. Explore
Go out and explore! I’ll never forget how much fun it was to get out and wander around with my friends and explore new, unchartered ground! There’s no reason you can’t do that as adults. At least now there is no bed time and be home before the lights go out!
5. Arcades
Did some body say Dave&Busters?! That is totally a game room on steroids for adults. Let the drinks and game coins overflow at this place. This will totally have you feeling like a kid again.
6. Build forts
Come onnnnnn, you know that your heart just skipped a beat with excitement! There was no greater feeling in the world as a kid, than building one of these babies. This would probably be uber fun with a spouse or significant other especially!
7. Paint
Painting! Not only can painting be a super fun thing to do, BUT it can also be very, very therapeutic. Try out a painting hot-spot called, Painting With A Twist located in Westport, CT. It is a paint and drink type of deal *super adult*. When you go, try to get Vernice Holmes as an instructor…she is AWESOME !!!
8. Swing from trees
Swinging from trees?! Who didn’t want to do this as a kid? Well now you can do it as an adult! Give it a go at the Adventure Park at The Discovery Museum.
9. Movies, movies, movies
Go to the movies with a few friends and see multiple movies. To step the fun up a notch, pay for one and sneak into a couple more. The thrill is unreal. Muuuhuuuu huuuuuu hahhahhahah *rubs hands together in maniacal fashion*
10. Do whatever your heart desires
EXACTLY! Life is way too short to not be happy and living life to its fullest. So, I leave number 10 completely up to you! Do whatever it is that makes you happy, no matter what it is *as long as you’re not like killing people or something*.
So, you see…its not being an adult that really sucks, its how you choose “to adult.” Let’s choose the fun kind, the happy-go-lucky kind, the kind that make the world a better place. The next time someone asks what you are, you say it loud and proud….WE’RE ADULTS!

This design is spectacular! You definitely know how to keep
a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos,
I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful
job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that,
how you presented it. Too cool!

I am really impressed with your writing talents as neatly as with the structure on your
blog. Is this a paid subject matter or did you customize
it your self? Either way keep up the excellent high quality writing, it is
rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays..

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between user
friendliness and appearance. I must say you’ve done a fantastic job with this.
In addition, the blog loads extremely quick for me on Chrome.
Superb Blog!
