The Blogery

Feature of the Week…

09.28.15Feature of the Week, Miscellaneous0

This week The Blogery proudly presents, Jonathan Delice, also known as ::J-Delice::

Born in Brooklyn, to Haitian parents and bred in Connecticut’s “Lock City” of Stamford, R&B act J-Delice was introduced and fascinated by music in his youth. Inspired by greats such as: Phil Collins, Marques Houston, Sting and more, J-Delice is encouraged to bring back pure R&B to the forefront of today’s music.

“Crossover Hip-Hop/R&B has had a huge success this year”, J-Delice explained. “A lot of R&B artists are merging over to the Hip-Hop sound, and vice versa. Plus, the strip club movement has had a huge affect on the rise of R&B, so me doing songs like the radio single I have with Chinx would still deliver the real R&B sound with a twist of today’s Hip-Hop. We don’t need to keep everyone in the club all the time, so this is the music that you can vibe to and more importantly, will keep you and your lady in the bedroom”.

Finding success with The Late Chinx on his radio single “What’s Mine Is Yours” on several sites earlier this year, J-Delice has earned the opportunity to perform as a special guest with Juicy J on his THC Tour. Since then, the single has received great reviews across the Northeast from syndicated radio stations such as:  JAM’N 94.5, 105.7 Rewind, POWER 105.1 and more. “What’s Mine Is Yours” feat. Chinx has been in rotation through the hands of DJ Self, DJ Pup Dawg, DJ Envy, DJ Chubby Chubb, DJ Suss One, and other well known DJs. Giving the song a visual treatment by airing the music video on WorldStarHipHop has helped reach a wider audience and gained more popularity with The Late Chinx feature.

J-Delice shared his memory with the late Queens rapper stating, “I had this song for some time and I was really looking for a rapper to feature on it and my manager sent it over to Chinx. He liked it, did his verse, and I met with him a few times in the club to hang out. He’s a real humble dude.. a good dude, and I’ll always appreciate the hand he extended out to me, so I’ll do my part to keep his memory alive with this one”.
